No August Meeting, Details About New Meeting Format
Sorry for the delay in posting! I have been trying to make the decision to have an August meeting, to have a picnic as we mentioned at the meeting or just to delay until September to better plan. I have opted for the latter. September will begin our new format : A 45 minute Beginner presentation and a 45 minute Advanced presentation.
The Beginner sessions will consist of a regular curriculum. We will start at "How do I setup a Flex project" and work from there. The goal is that within a 6-8 month period (TBD) you will have built a complete Flex application, including getting data into your application from a datbase, listeners, events, effeects, etc. If you are new to Flex and want to learn I highly recommend coming regularly. If you miss a session you might miss out completely as this will be more of a classroom format.
If you are interested in doing a presentation for Advanced topics please let me know. If you would like to do a Beginner presentation I will work with you to develop the presentation as it needs to adhere to the new format.
